kawasaki_2009_kx_model.jpgEnsuring the ’09 KX450F retains its competitive edge are a number of major changes, including a new fuel-injected engine, a lighter, slimmer chassis and completely new bodywork designed to facilitate rider control.

The biggest change for ’09 is a switch to fuel injection. While maintaining the hard-hitting engine character of its predecessor, the new fuel-injected engine offers stable fuel-metering even in vigorous motocross riding situations. Further improvements deliver smooth, controlled power delivery.

Changes to the chassis focus on making the new KX450F even easier to ride. The frame was completely re-evaluated for reduced weight, lighter handling and even greater traction performance.

KX250F: STAYING AT THE FRONT OF THE PACK

To keep the ’09 KX250F at the front of the pack, it receives a number of major changes, including a new head, cylinder, piston and crankcases, a lighter, slimmer chassis sporting a low-friction coated fork and completely new bodywork designed to facilitate rider control.

Already a strength of the KX250F, high-rpm and over-run performance were further increased. Response when cracking open the throttle was improved. Modifications to the engine’s lubrication system result in both improved performance and reliability. And changes to the transmission offer improved shift and clutch feel.

Already acclaimed as the best looking motocrosser in the paddock, the new KX250F benefits from a new styling package that not only gives it sharper factory-racer looks but offers racers a slimmer rider interface to make it even easier to go faster.

The new KX450F can be found at your dealer from October 2008, the new KX250F will be available from September 2008.

The New KX450F and KX250F are also on display in the Kawasaki paddock area at one of the following GP's.

29 June – Teutschenthal, Germany

6 July – Uddevalla, Sweden

3 August – Lommel, Belgium

7 September – Lierop, The Netherlands

14 September – Faenza, Italy
