Buell Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

E-mail Print PDF

08_buell_1125r_af.jpgBuell – the only motorcycle brand in the world that can still boast its original founder as its chief designer – is inviting two-wheel enthusiasts to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary. Seven hundred and fifty tickets have been released for sale for the UK-based event at Mallory Park in Leicestershire on Friday 22 August.

The £29 ticket price covers entrance to the circuit for Friday’s anniversary event, a track day the following day and a pitch in the Mallory Park camping ground for the Friday evening. A host of riding activities is also available at no extra cost, including a Buell skills course, road and off-road riding and track sessions. There is even a free learn to ride tuition session for visitors who are considering taking a motorcycle test.

Visitors can choose from a full range of Buell motorcycles for track sessions or use their own motorcycles. Additional entertainment ranging from an army climbing wall and bungee jumping to laser clay pigeon shooting and an Isle of Man simulator will all reflect the fun-loving attitude associated with Buell. Live music, a fully licensed bar, hog roast and hot air balloon display* will be available in the evening.

Visitors can also view the new range of Harris Performance accessories developed for Buell motorcycles and sign up for next year’s Buell Experience Days. The whole event will be a celebration of innovation for the niche two-wheel brand.

Some of the unique design principles developed by the former motorcycle racer Erik Buell have now become commonplace for many other mass motorcycle manufacturers. His Trilogy of Technology philosophy of mass centralisation, chassis rigidity and low unsprung weight is now well known and he was the pioneer of fuel in frame engineering – now widely adopted across the motorcycle industry.

“The core of every Buell motorcycle is fun and we want this event to reflect that,” says Buell UK Brand Manager Andrew McIndoe. “We hope to attract a wide range of motorcycle enthusiasts as well as current and past Buell owners and feel confident that we have something to appeal to everyone in a package that represents exceptional value for money”

To book tickets please contact the Buell Performance Academy on 01652 688410.
