New GSX-Rs Receive Microns GP-Sport

micron_gsxr.jpgSuzuki’s new GSX-R600 and 750 K8 models are the latest supersports machines to receive the GP-Sport silencer from Micron.

The Hydroformed product, developed on a sophisticated CAD system, is designed to match the unique lines and contours of each machine but, in the case of Suzuki’s new sportsters, the chassis dimensions are identical.

Micron’s GP-Sport slips on to the exiting pipework of the two Suzukis and requires no further adjustments. The high-grade stainless body is fitted with Micron’s trademark carbon fibre endcap to ensure a good balance of weight, durability and style.

As with Micron’s other GP-Sport cans, it is fitted with a removable DB killer and is fully road legal.

The GP-Sport is available in three finishes, all of which offer excellent value as well as industry-leading quality. The satin silver version (OMS80) will retail at £279.99 including VAT, with the high mirror polish (OSM80/P) and ceramic carbon black (OSM80/B) options retailing at £329.99.

The same great look but even greater power gains are available for the new GSX-Rs with the GP-Sport silencer as part of a full race system as used in the ACU Suzuki GSX-R Trophy series.

With prices from £779.99 for the satin silver endcan (HYDS80/OZ), the race system will boost the GSX-R600's standard power by more than 5bhp, with greater gains available through fuelling adjustments. It'll also shed more than 6kg from the bike's original weight.

“The entire Suzuki GSX-R range just seems to lend itself to fitting our Hydroformed silencers,” said Micron brand manager, Arthur Macdonald, “and the three models continue to be best sellers for Micron. The new GP-Sport for the 600/750 is another sure-fire winner and we’ll be making them as fast as we can to meet the expected high demand. It's very gratifying to be able to offer a great new product for one of the world's most iconic bike brands.”
