Bos Release Aftermarket Exhaust for BMWR1200GS

E-mail Print PDF

r1200gs_bosFor the latest “All Road” boxer BOS has developed a new exhaust system. This complete full system consists of two large 51 mm diameter stainless steel front headers that flow in a ‘Y’ pipe, which leads to the muffler.

The absence of the intermediate pipe in the front of the engine makes this system unique in styling and enhances the looks of this new 1200 engine. The system delivers more torque and power at 5500 rpm and above where the stock system doesn’t.

There is no adjustment of the motor management system needed and the system comes with all the necessary hardware and can be fitted without modifications to the stock bike. The weight savings on the BOS system is a healthy 3.8 kg (8.5 lbs) and 2.8 kg (6.2 lbs) when only the muffler is replaced.

This muffler is mounted on a new 60 mm mid pipe, which also improves the torque especially at lower rpm’s. The special mounting bracket on the muffler matches the design of the bike and shows the quality of this BOS exhaust system.

There is a choice of three different materials for the sleeve of the muffler; the other parts are made of high polished stainless steel. The sound is perfect and you can recognize the boxer character very clearly, which can be made a bit louder by removing the dB eater baffle.
