2008 Yamaha R6 racing bodywork

E-mail Print PDF

skidmarx-r6-racebody.jpgSkidmarx, the British body-work specialists, have developed a full set of race specification bodywork for the 2008 Yamaha R6 that is designed to directly replace the original panels – ideal for racers and track day addicts alike.

Both the fairing and single seat unit are manufactured in lightweight 450gm CSM material backed up with woven cloth. The race fairing differs from the original road version because there is no headlight aperture, (nor headlight and indicator mounting points), and the enclosed belly pan has a catch tray to comply with ACU rules. All Skidmarx race bodywork is pre-drilled to fit directly onto the existing mounting points and the R6 kit is supplied with quick-release Dzus fasteners where required.

Skidmarx race bodywork is supplied in plain white, ready to be painted in the team colours of your choice. The Race Fairing sells for £260- and the single seat unit costs £110- (both prices include VAT). Skidmarx also offer a matching front guard, priced at £47-.

Skidmarx racing screens are the choice of many top British riders and the R6 version is the same version as the one used by Ian Lougher and Team Black Horse, the official Yamaha UK ''Roads Team''. Manufactured in the UK from 2mm acrylic, the race screens are thinner and lighter than the road versions and offer enhanced optical clarity. Two styles are available, standard at £39.95 and double bubble for £49.95 and these are specifically designed to fit the Skidmarx race fairing.
